New Lanka Tools stocks spare parts for power tools so a failed component does not mean replacing the whole machine. The department currently holds 9 parts, covering armatures, switches, gear wheels, carbon brushes and fields, plus drill chucks. Bosch parts are the most represented, and Makita is also stocked. The parts here address the components that actually wear out. Carbon brushes are consumable by design and are the single most common reason a grinder or drill stops working — replacing them is inexpensive and often restores a tool completely. Armatures and field coils fail after sustained overload or when a tool has been run with worn brushes for too long. Switches wear from repeated use and from dust ingress on site. Gear wheels strip under shock loading. Drill chucks lose their grip over time and can be replaced independently of the drill. Buyers are workshop owners maintaining their own equipment, service technicians repairing tools for customers, contractors keeping a crew's machines running, and individual owners who would rather repair a good tool than replace it. Fitting the right part matters more here than anywhere else in the catalogue. Armatures, brushes and switches are specific to a tool model, and a part that looks identical may differ in shaft length, commutator diameter or terminal layout. Always quote the exact tool model number when enquiring — not just the brand — and where possible send a photograph of the old part or its markings.
