About Measuring Tools

New Lanka Tools stocks 84 measuring and testing instruments covering electrical testing, distance and level measurement, environmental readings and diagnostics. This department serves electricians, engineers, surveyors, technicians and quality inspectors who need reliable readings rather than approximations. The largest group is laser levels, laser distance meters and thermometers with 40 products, followed by multimeters, clamp meters and digital RCD testers with 21. Beyond those we carry tachometers, wood moisture meters and electrical meters, anemometers, light meters and sound meters, stud finders, fault locators and borescopes, tyre pressure gauges and inflators, insulation resistance testers and blockage detectors, optical power meters and earth resistance testers, plus rulers, levelling staffs, tripods, battery testers, data loggers and flex clamp sensors. UNI-T leads this department with 38 products and Bosch follows with 30 — UNI-T for electrical test and measurement, Bosch mainly for laser levels and distance meters. Kyoritsu, a specialist in electrical testing instruments, accounts for 5, and Kapusi for 4. Electricians use the multimeters, clamp meters, insulation resistance testers and earth resistance testers for installation testing and fault finding. Builders, tilers and interior fitters rely on the laser levels and distance meters for setting out and verifying work. HVAC and facilities technicians use anemometers, thermometers and data loggers. Telecom and network installers use the optical power meters and fault locators. Carpenters and restoration trades use moisture meters before finishing timber. Accuracy matters more than price in this category, which is why we stock recognised instrument brands rather than generic meters. If you are choosing between models, our team can talk through the measurement range, resolution and safety category you actually need — a CAT III meter for distribution work is a different purchase from a basic continuity tester.
