About Demolition Hammers
New Lanka Tools stocks 21 demolition hammers, breakers and jack hammers ranging from light chipping machines to heavy floor-standing breakers. These tools do one job — hammer without rotation — and they do it with far more force than any drill. Dewalt is the most represented brand here with 7 machines, followed by Bosch with 5, GAOCHENG with 4 and GrLINK with 4. Weights in the range run from around 5kg for handheld chipping and wall work up to 30kg for floor breaking, and choosing correctly between them matters more than any other decision in this category. Demolition contractors, civil works crews, road and pavement teams, renovation builders, plumbers cutting into slabs and anyone removing tile, screed or concrete uses these machines. They are also hired out heavily, which means a machine bought for a contractor's fleet needs to survive rough handling. Applications include breaking concrete slabs, floors and foundations, removing tile, screed and render, cutting openings in masonry walls, breaking asphalt and paving, chasing large channels, and driving ground rods and stakes. Match the weight to the work. A 5kg hammer is a wall and tile tool, used horizontally and controlled with one or two hands. A 10 to 16kg machine handles slab work and openings. A 30kg breaker is a floor and foundation tool, worked vertically, and is genuinely tiring and unsafe to use overhead. Buying too heavy a machine for wall work is as much a mistake as buying too light a machine for a slab. Chisels, points and spades are consumables and wear steadily in hard concrete. Hearing protection, eye protection and gloves are not optional with these tools — our Safety Equipment department covers them. All machines are genuine with warranty support, and our repair centre services selected brands. Visit No: 120, Princess Gate, Colombo 12, or WhatsApp +94 77 111 8880 describing the material and position of the work, and we will recommend the right weight class.
